The Latest Staycation Ideas
The best place to start your Atlanta staycation might be the last place you would think about. It’s your local public library. The Cobb County Public Library System has passes for either free admission or discount admission to many of your potential staycation activities. All you need is a library card and you can stop by the front desk of any of the libraries in the Cobb County Public Library System. There are 16 libraries in the county which can be seen HERE. Free passes are available for Zoo Atlanta, Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites, and the Go Fish Education Center. You can also get discounts at the Center for Puppetry Arts from your local library.
The Zoo Atlanta Family Pass provide free admission for up to two adults and two children ages 3-12 years old. To obtain the free Zoo Atlanta Family Pass, you must first check out a special DVD on the zoo and then return it to receive your free zoo passes.
The Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites Park Pass Kit gets you free admission or parking to more than 60 State Parks and Historic Sites within the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR). Each Park Pass pass is available for one week and allows for free entry for up to four visitors. You also get a parking pass and guide booklet.
The Go Fish Family Pass gets you free entry into the Perry-based Go Fish Education Center for up to six visitors. Entry is available Fridays through Sundays.
Finally, the Passport to Puppetry from the Center for Puppetry Arts gets you free museum admissions and special show and workshop discounts for your family at the Center for Puppetry Arts.
